Royal Game Of 'URM'

The Royal game of UR was discovered in a royal Ccemetary in modern day Iraq in the early 20th Century. The artifact was clearly a board game but for many years the mystery of how it was played 4,000 years ago, all the parts of the game but no rules.

The Royal Game of 'Urm' is a modern reinterpretation of the game, and emblazoned with imagery and statistics on British infrastructure. With Britain at a crossroads and the political future being uncertain the piece aims to open dialogue about who we are and what we want to represent. We have all the parts but how do we play the game?
